Brief detail of Unity Run

‘National Unity Day’ or ‘The Rashtriya Ekta divas’ is observed on 31ST October every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel to glorify his contribution in keeping unity among the motives of India.

To celebrate this day an activity known as ‘Unity Run’ was done in the campus of DAV Public School Badshahpur in which around 150 students took participation under the guidance of worthy Principal Sir, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh and members of Shaheed Bhagat Singh House. After competition of ‘Unity Run’, there was an informative speech regarding the role of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in National Integration by Harneet Kaur (10th class). Continuing the celebration there was a pledge on ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas’ and almost 500 students took this pledge. Apart from this, there was an exhibition on (Sardar Patel – ‘The Architect of Unification’). In this exhibition, near about 300 students watched and understood about Sardar Patel’s life, struggles and contribution in keeping unification among the citizens of India. Students learnt the value of unity and integrity in making harmony among different people from different religions and varied background to keep the spirit of brotherhood.
